Pack a picnic blanket and choose from delicious homemade picnics and platters, crafted with seasonal Sussex produce, available for purchase from the cellar door. Enjoy these with a bottle of Nutbourne wine, either on a platform offering breathtaking views of the South Downs or among the vines

Bolney Wine Estate

Grab a bottle of wine from the vineyard shop and choose from delicious pre-ordered picnic boxes or hampers featuring local produce and Bolney wines to enjoy in the new picnic areas amongst the vines. Dogs on leads are welcome in the outdoor café seating area and on the general estate grounds, but not on formal tours. Children are also welcome to explore the Vineyard Trail, however, other structured tours are for over 18s only. Afterward, visit the Eighteen Acre Café for breakfast, brunch, or lunch, enjoying local dishes and Bolney wines with views over the vines from the balcony. An Enomatic machine is available for wine by the glass. On Friday evenings, a wine bar offers their range of wines, spirits, and small plates.

Albourne Estate

The self-guided vineyard trail provides a map and guide from the Tasting Room, with seven stopping points explaining the annual growth cycle and offering scenic views, including a peaceful spot by the lake. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome. Kids are also welcome, especially at the family-friendly Friday Night Supper Clubs. Afterwards, relax in the modern Tasting Room with its south-facing balcony, enjoying wines alongside local Sussex cheese and charcuterie boards. Throughout the summer, Friday evenings feature pop-up dining from local chefs and street food vendors.

Wiston Estate

Pack a picnic to enjoy on the estate grounds, and grab a bottle of wine from the Cellar Door for your self-guided vineyard exploration. After your tour, why not dine at Chalk Restaurant, which offers A La Carte Lunch and weekend dinners? Note that children and well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome for walks and picnics on the estate, but not inside the buildings.

Kingscote Estate

Pack a bottle of wine from the on-site Wine Shop to enjoy. Children are welcome, with those under 12 typically not charged for tours, although the tours are considered adult activities. Dogs on leads are happily welcomed in outdoor spaces, including the wine shop and gardens, and can enjoy woodland walks, though only assistance dogs are permitted on guided vineyard tours. After exploring, visitors can relax at the Café/Restaurant, Cellar Door Bar & Kitchen, or enjoy lunch and cream teas.
