The Wine

Return to contents
Little Wold Vineyard has over 12,000 vines planted across a mix of white and red grape varieties, producing a focused range of still and sparkling wines. Sparkling releases include Henry’s Harvest and Heathers, alongside limited-edition traditional-method wines such as Alice’s Cuvée (rosé) and Tom’s Cuvée from the 2018 vintage.

The still wine range includes Barley Hill White, a blended white wine; James’ View, a herbaceous white; Poppy Hill Rosé; and a red wine, Three Cocked Hat.

The vineyard has received regional and national recognition, including awards from WineGB North & Midlands and Wines of Great Britain. In 2020, the business received Farmers Weekly’s Diversification of the Year award.

Sustainability is central to the vineyard’s operation. More than half of the land is dedicated to non-vineyard uses, including willow planting and biodiversity projects. Vineyard work is largely carried out by hand, packaging has been simplified to reduce waste, and an on-site winery (established in 2022) allows grapes to be processed without transport off site.
