Stonyfield Wine offers a friendly, small-scale vineyard experience in rural Northamptonshire. It’s a family-run operation focused on English sparkling wine, with relaxed open days that invite visitors to spend time among the vines rather than follow a tightly scripted visit.

Stonyfield Wine welcomes visitors during scheduled open days and by arrangement. Dates and opening times vary through the year, so it’s best to check directly with the vineyard for the most up-to-date information.

Open days:

The vineyard hosts open days, typically on Sundays, when visitors are welcome to drop in without booking to enjoy wine in the garden setting overlooking the vines.



Tours & Tastings:

Guided vineyard tours and tastings of Stonyfield’s sparkling wines are offered during open days and for pre-booked private groups. These provide an introduction to the vineyard and its winemaking approach.

Private visits & events:

Private group tours and small events can be arranged by advance booking. The vineyard garden may also be used for informal gatherings during open days.

Children & dogs:

Children and dogs are welcome on site during visits.

Stonyfield Wine, produced at Painters Vineyard, specialises exclusively in English sparkling wine made using the traditional method. The wines are produced from estate-grown Pinot Noir and Seyval Blanc grapes.

The wines have received national recognition across multiple vintages. Most notably, Stonyfield Wine secured a National Trophy in 2025, marking the second time the vineyard has achieved this award. Earlier releases have also received gold and silver medals at national competitions, and the wines have been highlighted by Decanter in past tastings.

All winemaking is carried out on site, with production managed from grape to bottle at the vineyard.

By public transport:

The nearest major station is Northampton. From there, visitors should plan onward travel by taxi or local bus services to Blisworth.
