Booking: All visits to the vineyard for tours and events must be pre-booked online, as walk-ins cannot be accommodated.Cellar Door Shop: If you wish to simply pop in for a tasting or to purchase wine, Woodchester Valley operates a separate Cellar Door shop located on the A46 (GL5 5EY). This shop is open Monday to Saturday and offers tastings on Fridays and Saturdays.
Tour Dates: Vineyard and winery tours run throughout the year. They are available daily from April to October and on a slightly reduced schedule (four times a week) from November to March.
Open Year-Round: The vineyard is open for tours and events all year.
Food & Drink: While there isn't a full-service restaurant, some tours include nibbles and food pairings, or even a locally sourced lunch hamper.
Special Events: The vineyard hosts a variety of special events, including Fizz & Chips evenings, Wine & Cheese evenings, and unique Vineyard Dog Walks.
Accommodation: Woodchester Valley offers on-site accommodation across three options: luxurious Vineyard Barns (guest rooms), a spacious farmhouse called The Retreat, and Woodchester Valley House, suitable for larger groups.
Dogs & Children: Vineyard tours are for over 18s only. However, well-behaved dogs are welcome on special monthly Vineyard Dog Walks. For accommodation, dogs are permitted in The Retreat farmhouse and Woodchester Valley House, but not in the Vineyard Barns.
The Wine
Woodchester Valley Vineyard produces a diverse range of still and sparkling wines, including white, rosé, and limited reds. They grow a selection of grape varieties across their three vineyard sites, totalling 58 acres, with great care taken in both the vineyard and their on-site winery to produce high-quality wines each year. The winery was established in 2016, allowing them to manage the entire winemaking process from handpicking grapes to bottling.The vineyard is a multi-award-winning producer, consistently recognised for its excellence. At the Wine GB Awards 2024, Woodchester Valley was awarded two prestigious trophies: 'Best Blanc de Blancs' for their 2018 Blanc de Blancs (jointly with Harrow & Hope) and 'Best Regional Winner for the West'. In the same year, they also secured seven medals, including three golds for their Reserve Cuvée NV, Rosé Brut 2021, and Blanc de Blancs 2018. Their 2021 Sauvignon Blanc achieved a Master medal at the Global Sauvignon Blanc Masters 2022, marking it as the first English still wine to receive this accolade. The vineyard also received three silver medals at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2022 for its Reserve Cuvée, Orpheus Bacchus, and Sauvignon Blanc.
Woodchester Valley Vineyard is a member of the Sustainable Wines of Great Britain scheme, demonstrating its commitment to reducing its environmental impact throughout the business.

The vineyard is located at Convent Lane, Woodchester, Stroud GL5 5HR.By Car: The vineyard is most easily accessed by car, though be aware that access is via hilly, single-track roads. On-site parking is available.
By Public Transport: The nearest train station is Stroud. From there, you can take a taxi to the vineyard. Alternatively, the Stagecoach 63 bus service (from Gloucester to Forest Green via Stroud) stops at the bottom of St Mary's Hill, near the vineyard's Cellar Door shop, which is a 20-minute walk from the main winery site.
