The Wine
Return to contents
The quality of Domaine Hugo's wines has been recognised with prestigious accolades. Their "Hugo 2020" sparkling wine received the Trophy for Best Traditional Method Sparkling White Wine and was named Best Vintage Classic Cuvée at the WineGB Awards 2024, where it also secured a Gold Medal.
The vineyard is certified Organic and Biodynamic, reflecting a profound commitment to environmental stewardship. Domaine Hugo is also a member of the highly regarded "Renaissance des Appellations-Return to Terroir" group, an international collective of biodynamic wine producers. Practices such as allowing sheep to graze in the vineyard help maintain soil health and reduce the need for intervention.
The winemaking process takes place on-site at Botley's Farm, where founder Hugo Stewart collaborates with talented winemaker Daniel Ham of Offbeat Wines. This partnership ensures that the high-quality, biodynamically farmed fruit is transformed into exceptional wines that express the unique character of their terroir.
