Vinebound Review

On a trip through Dorset, Devon and Cornwall, we stopped at English Oak Vineyard just outside Poole, on the way to Dorchester, having also visited Langham earlier that day. The car park sits right next to the family home - this is about as personal a vineyard as it gets, with husband and wife Andrew and Sarah on hand themselves to lead tours and pour tastings. Everything here is sparkling, and made to a high standard throughout, but their oak-aged Blanc de Blancs and Blanc de Noirs are in a different league: complex and mature, and the best wines we tasted across the next ten vineyards of the trip. Independent judges agree - both picked up Silver at the 2026 Decanter and IWSC awards. Vinebound dropped in for a tasting and a walk around the vineyard - including that 350-year-old oak tree - in June 2026.
