Llanerch Vineyard is a polished, upmarket vineyard hotel and restaurant set in the Vale of Glamorgan, combining contemporary design with a relaxed countryside setting. It’s positioned as a destination for dining, stays, and events, with wine forming part of a broader hospitality experience rather than the sole focus.

Tours & Tastings:

Vineyard tours and tastings are offered on selected dates and must be booked in advance online. These experiences typically include a guided walk through the vineyard followed by a tasting of Llanerch wines. Availability varies seasonally rather than running continuously year-round.

Food & Drink:

The on-site Roots Restaurant holds two AA Rosettes and serves modern British dishes using locally sourced ingredients. Dining is available indoors and on the terrace, with views across the vineyard. Llanerch also operates a bar offering wines, cocktails and other drinks throughout the day.

Special Events:

Llanerch is a well-established venue for weddings, private events and corporate hire, with multiple event spaces available. The estate also hosts occasional themed dining events and experiences, which are announced individually.

Accommodation:

Llanerch Vineyard Hotel offers 37 contemporary rooms and suites. The hotel has received national recognition, including being named AA Hotel of the Year Wales 2022–23.

Dogs & Children:

Dogs: A limited number of dog-friendly rooms are available and must be booked in advance. Dogs are also permitted in designated areas of the bar and garden, but not all public spaces.

Children: Children are welcome. Additional beds and travel cots are available in certain room types, subject to availability and additional charges.

Llanerch produces its own Cariad range of wines from grapes grown at the estate, alongside wines made using fruit sourced from other Welsh vineyards. The range includes white, rosé and red wines, produced primarily from varieties such as Seyval Blanc, Solaris, Phoenix, Triomphe, Bacchus, Pinot Noir and Rondo.

Winemaking is not carried out on site. Llanerch’s wines are produced off-site in partnership with an external winery, with Llanerch focusing on grape growing, blending decisions and brand direction.

In addition to wine, the estate also produces wine-based spirits under the Cariad label.

By car:

Llanerch Vineyard is located just two minutes from Junction 34 of the M4 motorway, making it easily accessible from Cardiff, Swansea and Bristol.

By public transport:

The nearest train station is Pontyclun. From Pontyclun station, the vineyard is around a five-minute taxi journey or approximately a 35–40 minute walk.

Llanerch Vineyard is well placed for exploring the Vale of Glamorgan and South Wales.
