Booking required for all visits (FAQ: "Do I need to book before attending? Yes"). All tours start at 12:30pm with sparkling wine, run about 2 hours, and the vineyard usually closes around 3pm. Wine can be purchased during a booked visit.

Glyndwr Vineyard offers a peaceful and idyllic escape in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan. As Wales' oldest established vineyard, it combines rustic charm with modern comforts, set amidst beautiful gardens, ponds, and orchards, and home to friendly llamas, chickens, and ducks.

Booking Tours: All visits, including tours, must be pre-booked on their website. Tours run most Saturdays (with the occasional weekday and Sunday) from March to December. Book a tour here.

Tour Experience: Tours begin at 12:30 and last approximately two hours, priced from £48.50 per person. A glass of Welsh sparkling wine starts proceedings, followed by a guided walk around the vineyard and the chance to meet the resident llamas. A freshly prepared two-course meal using local produce - quiches, local sausages, Welsh cheeses and dessert - is served alongside two further Glyndwr wines.

On-site Dining: While there isn't a standalone restaurant, tours include a substantial two-course lunch.

Special Events: The vineyard is available for private events, including weddings, hen dos, parties, and corporate gatherings. Enquire directly for availability and details.

Online Shop: Glyndwr wines can be purchased via the online shop, with options for home delivery or click and collect.

Accommodation: Glyndwr Vineyard offers self-catered, individually designed boutique rooms and a luxury log cabin, each with an en-suite bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, honesty bar, free broadband, and countryside views. View accommodation options.

Dogs & Children: Dogs are welcome in the vineyard's accommodation, but are not permitted within the main vineyard touring areas due to the presence of sheep, chickens, and llamas. Tour content is geared towards adults.

Glyndwr Vineyard produces a range of award-winning wines, including White, Red, Rosé, and Sparkling varieties. Their wines are crafted from various grape varieties such as Rondo, Regent, Triomphe d'Alsace, Leon Millot, Reichensteiner, Siegerrebe, Madeleine Angevine, and Seyval Blanc. All Glyndwr wines are vegan-friendly.

The vineyard has earned numerous accolades from publications like Decanter Magazine and the UK Vineyards Association Awards. Their sparkling Brut wine has notably won first prize in the South West Vineyards Association competition. In the same competition, their red wine achieved a double gold, a first for the event, recognized by four Masters of Wine. The Glyndwr 1989 White was also highly commended, placing in the top four British vineyards by Wine Magazine and receiving a 'Commended' in the 1991 International Wine Challenge.

The vineyard proudly utilizes its own cellars beneath the farmhouse, where wines are stored and matured, reflecting over 40 years of winemaking expertise. Glyndwr Vineyard emphasizes environmentally friendly practices; their vines are treated with organic materials, and hedges are allowed to grow wild to encourage bird life, fostering a natural habitat for chickens, ducks, and wild pheasants.
