Old Luxters Vineyard offers an immersive experience, primarily through pre-booked tours.- Tours & Tastings: A two-hour 'behind the scenes' tour takes you through the winery, brewery, and liqueur production facilities, concluding with a tutored tasting of a selection of their wines, ales, and liqueurs. Tours must be pre-booked, with weekend availability often requiring booking up to four months in advance.
- Shop: The cellar shop is open seven days a week: weekdays from 9:30 am to 6 pm, and weekends from 11 am to 6 pm.
- Food: A food truck is available on-site for casual dining.
- Special Events: Old Luxters Barn, located within the vineyard, is a popular venue for weddings, Christmas parties, corporate events, and private gatherings.
- Accommodation: On-site bed and breakfast accommodation is available. Please note, the B&B is not suitable for children. Pets may be accommodated by prior arrangement in specific rooms, subject to a supplement.
The Wine
Old Luxters Vineyard, operating as Chiltern Valley Wines, produces a diverse range of still and sparkling English wines, including white, red, and rosé varieties. Their vineyards are planted with grape varieties such as Bacchus, Regent, Reichsteiner, Madeline Angevine, and Pinot Noir.The winery has received significant recognition since its first harvest in 1984, accumulating numerous national and international awards in blind-tasted competitions from 1988 onwards.
Old Luxters has its own modern winery on-site, housed within traditional farm buildings, where they produce their wines. They also operate the Old Luxters Brewery, crafting real ales, and produce a range of liqueurs.

- By Car: The vineyard is located off the A4155 between Henley-on-Thames and Marlow. Take the Hambleden turning at 'Mill End' (signed Chiltern Valley Winery & Brewery), follow the valley road for 2.5 miles, then turn left up Dudley Lane to reach the vineyard at the top of the hill. Ample parking is available.
- By Public Transport: The nearest train station is Henley-on-Thames, which is approximately a 15-minute taxi journey to the vineyard, costing between £20-£25. There are no direct bus routes to Old Luxters.
