What's the vibe

Stonepit Vineyard offers a delightful, authentic experience, producing boutique wines on a gently sloping south-facing field in the picturesque countryside near Olney. Visitors can expect a charming and evolving local vineyard, with its third-year production showing superb quality.

Visiting information

Stonepit Vineyard opens its gates to visitors on specific "Open Days" during the summer months, typically in June, July, and September. These are not daily operations, and for visits outside these dates, private tastings are available by arrangement.

During Open Days, you can sample their wines, purchase glasses or bottles to enjoy right next to the vines, and find food available on-site. There is no permanent restaurant or cafe. No accommodation is available directly at the vineyard. For information regarding bringing children or dogs, it is advisable to contact the vineyard directly prior to your visit.

The Wine

Stonepit Vineyard produces a range of boutique English wines including white, red, and rosé, with sparkling white and rosé added to their offering from summer 2024. Their white wine, known as 'Moonstone', is crafted from the Bacchus grape, while the red, 'Carnelian Red', uses the Regent grape. The rosé, 'Pink Opal', is a post-fermentation blend of both varieties. Their sparkling wines include 'Bubbles of Pink Topaz' and 'Bubbles of Moonstone 2022'.

The vineyard has been recognised for its quality, having won Gold Medals for both its white and rosé wines. These award-winning wines were also featured on BBC radio. Stonepit Vineyard operates its own winery, ensuring careful production from grape to bottle.
