The Wine

Wolds Wine Estate cultivates 4,000 vines across 3.3 acres, featuring five varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier for sparkling wines, alongside Rondo (red) and Solaris (white). Their own wines, produced on-site, are crafted with a "natural wine" philosophy, being wild fermented with 100% juice and minimal intervention to reflect the local landscape. Their first wines, released in 2024, include a still pink ('Pinky Pinots'), Chardonnay, fizzy red ('Little Reds'), and an orange wine, along with their 'Solay' white. Their ciders have been recognized, earning Silver and Bronze awards at the British Cider Championships. In 2024, one of their wines was also lauded by The Standard as "one of the best English wines to drink".

The vineyard is committed to environmental stewardship, operating its own winery on-site. They actively enhance the local ecosystem through initiatives like maintaining four beehives for honey production and using sheep and pigs for eco-friendly grass management and soil nutrition. Their traditional orchard, planted in 2022, is pesticide-free, with apples picked by hand for their ciders.
