Woodchurch Wine Estate offers a classic English vineyard experience in a peaceful hilltop setting, with far-reaching views across Romney Marsh towards the Kent coastline. It’s a relaxed, scenic place to enjoy wine, combining open countryside with a well-established cellar door and food offering.

Woodchurch Wine Estate is open to visitors year-round. Opening Hours: The shop, bar and food terrace are open Thursday to Sunday and Bank Holidays, 11am–5pm. Bar & Food: Wine is available by the glass, bottle or flight, alongside local drinks. The food menu includes cheese and charcuterie boards and light bites, with wood-fired pizzas served on Saturdays. Booking is recommended if you plan to eat, especially at weekends. Tours: Self-guided vineyard walks are available using a free map collected from the bar. Guided vineyard tours and tastings can also be booked in advance, lasting approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Private tours are available by arrangement. Accommodation: There is no accommodation on site. Dogs & Children: Dogs on leads are welcome in outdoor areas. Children are welcome when accompanied by adults.

Woodchurch Wine Estate produces a range of still and traditional-method sparkling English wines. Core grape varieties include Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Bacchus. The estate is particularly well known for its sparkling wines. The Woodchurch Classic Brut has received multiple awards, including Gold medals at the Decanter World Wine Awards and the Independent English Wine Awards, and has been named Kent Wine of the Year. Other sparkling releases have also received national and international recognition. Viticulture focuses on a low-intervention approach, avoiding herbicides and insecticides where possible and encouraging biodiversity around the vineyard. Wines are produced in Woodchurch’s modern on-site winery using careful, minimal-intervention methods.

By Public Transport: The nearest major station is Ashford International, with high-speed services from London St Pancras. From Ashford, the vineyard is approximately a 20-minute taxi ride.
