Kingsthorne is planning to open a restaurant as part of its Flaxley Estate refurbishment, which will also include a visitor centre, farm shop, and event buildings. The restaurant aims to offer a fantastic menu featuring great quality food, with a focus on ingredients sourced close to home, including meat from their estate and produce from their own kitchen gardens whenever possible. While specific opening days, times, and policies regarding children and dogs are not yet available as the facility is still under development, Kingsthorne's wines have received numerous accolades, including gold, silver, and bronze awards at prestigious competitions such as the International Wine Challenge, Wine GB West, Wine GB Awards, Decanter World Wine, and Independent English Wine Awards.
Best Vineyard Restaurants in Gloucestershire
Gloucestershire plates often come with Cotswold produce and a calm dining room that looks onto vines. Wines by the glass or bottle are matched from the off, so the pairing feels built‑in. Think confident cooking, quietly assured.
