Vinebound Verdict
While the rest of the country chases Champagne-style fizz, I went to Flint to try their Charmat method sparkling. It’s a completely different energy - fresher and brighter than the bready traditional fizzes I’ve been tasting. The site is clearly built for a crowd, but on a quiet day, the warm wooden interiors and the resident vineyard cat make it feel surprisingly intimate. It’s a grounded spot where the novelty of the winemaking doesn't feel forced.

Burn Valley Vineyard grows a wide range of grape varieties, including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Bacchus, Solaris, Rondo, Regent, Seyval Blanc and Schönburger. These are used to produce a varied portfolio of English still and sparkling wines, including white, red, rosé and dessert styles.
