Valley Farm Vineyards

Owner Adrian welcomes visitors either by arrangement or spontaneously -- wine can be bought from the vineyard cellar door or ordered online for delivery. No fixed daily hours published (small owner-run vineyard, best to call ahead to check hell be there). Separately, bookable Tour and Tasting packages run from GBP25pp (1.5 hours) up to GBP40pp (picnic option, up to 3 hours). Previous entry wrongly said visits were appointment-only with no walk-in cellar door -- the sites own About/Vineyard page explicitly says spontaneous visits and cellar-door sales are both possible.

Opening hours can change for private events — it's always worth checking the vineyard's website before you visit.

Valley Farm Vineyards offers a calm, rural vineyard experience in the Suffolk countryside, with an emphasis on taking things slowly and enjoying wine in its natural setting. Visits feel informal and personal, with the owners closely involved in hosting tours, tastings, and stays among the vines.

Visitors are welcome by arrangement - drop-ins can be accommodated, though contacting the vineyard in advance is always advisable.

Tours & Tastings
Guided vineyard tours are available and are typically followed by a tasting of the estate's wines. Options are priced from £25 per person, with the Picnic and Tour experience available from £40 per person and lasting up to three hours. Tours can include food pairings - see the tours and tasting page for current options and availability.

Food Experiences
Valley Farm offers bookable vineyard experiences that combine tours with food, including a picnic experience and a wood-fired pizza experience where guests build and cook their own pizza on site. These experiences must be arranged in advance.

Accommodation
The vineyard offers on-site accommodation in the Cabin in the Vines, a secluded stay set among the vineyard rows, with a wood-fired hot tub. The cabin sleeps up to three people. See the accommodation page for details and booking.

Shop
Wines and gifts can be purchased via the online shop, and wines are also available to buy during visits.

Dogs
Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome on vineyard tours. Dogs are also permitted in the Cabin in the Vines by prior arrangement and for an additional fee.

Accessibility
The vineyard is a working, outdoor site with uneven ground and shingle paths. As a result, some areas may not be suitable for visitors with limited mobility.

Valley Farm Vineyards produces small-batch, single-estate still and sparkling English wines. The range includes still white and rosé wines, along with sparkling white and sparkling rosé wines. Grape varieties grown include Madeleine Angevine, Pinot Gris, Auxerrois, Pinot Meunier, and Pinot Noir.

The vineyard’s Madeleine Angevine has received particular recognition, including a Gold award at the UKVA Competition in 2016. Their sparkling rosé, Sundancer, has also received international recognition, earning a Silver medal at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC).

While grapes are grown and harvested at Valley Farm, winemaking is carried out in collaboration with Knightor, rather than on site. The vineyard focuses on sustainable viticulture suited to its local soil and climate, and uses solar power to support the Cabin in the Vines accommodation.

Valley Farm Vineyards is located on Rumburgh Road, Wissett, Suffolk, IP19 0JJ. Free parking is available on site.

By public transport:
The nearest train station is Halesworth, approximately a 10-minute drive away, with rail connections via Ipswich. The vineyard can also be reached on foot from Halesworth, either as a direct walk of around an hour or as part of a longer circular walking route.
