The Wine

Castle Brook Vineyard specialises exclusively in English sparkling wines, crafting a range of traditional method, bottle-fermented Brut (dry) wines. Their portfolio includes a Classic Cuvée, Rosé, and Blanc de Blancs, all produced using the classic Champagne grape varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.

The vineyard has garnered numerous accolades since its first vintage in 2006. Notable awards include 'Best Sparkling Wine' and 'Wine of the Year' at the SWVA in 2014, and the 'Ray Pelfrey Cup – Best Commercial Vineyard & Wine of the Year' at the SWVA in 2016. More recently, their 2016 Rosé and 2015 Classic Cuvée secured Gold awards at the WineGB Awards in 2023. They have also received Gold medals at the Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Championships and Silver medals at the Decanter World Wine Awards.

Regarding viticulture practices, the vineyard highlights "sustainability at their core" and applies deep agricultural knowledge to produce high-quality grapes. The Chinn family, fourth-generation farmers, maintain high standards in the vineyard itself.

While the grapes are grown on their estate, Castle Brook Vineyard collaborates with Ridgeview Estate in Sussex for the winemaking process, meaning they do not have their own on-site winery.
