1276 Wines blends rich historical roots with a contemporary approach to English wine. The setting feels peaceful and scenic, with panoramic countryside views.

1276 offers guided wine tours and tastings as well as self-guided vineyard walks. Their guided experience typically lasts around two hours and includes a welcome drink, a stroll through the vines, a behind-the-scenes look at their winery, and a relaxed tasting of signature wines paired with local cheeses. Guided tours are priced from £30 per person and must be booked in advance.

For a more flexible pace, visitors can choose a self-guided tour through the vineyard, exploring at their own rhythm, followed by a tasting flight of three wines and the option to enjoy a full glass of one of their favourites. Self-guided visits are priced from £15 per person and also require advance booking. Note that visitors are asked not to bring their own food or drink - there is no picnic facility on site, but wine is available to purchase. Dogs on leads are welcome in the vineyard, though they cannot join you in the winery or tasting room.

1276 also caters well for groups and corporate visitors. Private tours are available for parties of ten or more, with flexible timing. The tasting room accommodates up to 20 guests and is equipped for presentations; options include guided tastings, local cheese and charcuterie boards, refreshments, and corporate gifting. Smaller private groups of up to 15 can also book pre-wedding or celebration tour and tasting experiences. Check the website for current availability and enquiry details.

There is free on-site parking for those arriving by car.

1276 Wines crafts a range of English still, sparkling, and ice wines from south-facing slopes above Ledbury. The principal varieties are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir Précoce, Bacchus, and Madeleine Muscaris, grown on clay loam soils over Silurian mudstone - a geological foundation that gives the site a distinctive mineral character. Winemaker Laurence Cocking brings a precise, considered approach to the range, which spans classic English sparkling styles through to aromatic still whites.

Alongside the grape wines, 1276 produces fruit ice wines from apple, pear, and blueberry, made in a naturally sweet, concentrated style that sets them apart from most English producers. The winery picked up Gold and Silver awards at the International Wine Challenge in 2026. Wines are available to buy on site and through their online shop.

1276 Wines is set in rural Herefordshire near Ledbury and is best reached by car. The vineyard is easily accessible from the A449 and A417, with straightforward connections from the M50 motorway. Due to its countryside location, public transport options are limited, so driving or arranging a taxi from Ledbury is generally the most practical option.

The historic market town of Ledbury is just a short drive away, known for its black-and-white timbered buildings and independent shops. Nearby attractions include Eastnor Castle, set in extensive deer parkland; the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, ideal for walking; and a number of traditional Herefordshire pubs and farm shops dotted throughout the surrounding countryside.
