What's the vibe

Dropmore Vineyard is a small and charming family-run vineyard, envisioned from a love story and nestled beautifully on the fringes of Buckinghamshire's Burnham Beeches. It offers an intimate and personal wine experience, away from the hustle and bustle.

Visiting information

Dropmore Vineyard is a private vineyard located in a residential area, and as such, it is not open to casual visitors.

However, during the summer months when the vineyard is at its peak, they are happy to offer pre-arranged tours and tastings for small groups. Visits are strictly by appointment only, providing an opportunity to tour, taste, and purchase wines directly.

For all enquiries and to arrange a visit, visitors should contact the vineyard directly.

The Wine

Dropmore Vineyard cultivates five grape varietals: Bacchus, Chardonnay, Ortega, Pinot Meunier, and Pinot Noir. From these, they produce a diverse range of wines, including two award-winning English Sparkling wines, a Sparkling Rosé, and three still dry wines: Pinot Blush (Rosé), Ortega (a gently oaked white), and Bacchus (a light white wine).

The vineyard has garnered significant professional recognition since its first harvest in 2010, winning a collection of Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals at national and regional wine challenges. Notably, their first Bacchus wine received the Mac Mackinnon Trophy for Best Still White Wine in the Thames & Chiltern Vineyard Association region. An early Rosé also won the Stefanowiz Salver for Best Still Rosé in the region. Their Rosé Brut 2020 has also been a Decanter World Wine Award Bronze winner.

The grapes are 100% grown, cultivated, harvested, and tended by hand at Dropmore Vineyard. However, winemaking is carried out externally by expert winemaker Nico Centonze at Stanlake Park Wine Estate.
