The Wine

Oxney Organic Estate produces a celebrated range of sparkling and still wines from its 35 acres of vines, including Classic, Classic Rosé, Blanc de Blancs, Blanc de Noirs, and still Chardonnay and Pinot Noir Rosé. The wines are crafted primarily from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Seyval Blanc grapes. Oxney wines have garnered numerous accolades. Notable awards include a Gold from The Global Masters for their Classic Brut 2014, and Gold at both the International Wine Challenge and Sommelier Wine Awards for their Classic Brut 2016. The Classic Sparkling 2019 received Silver at the Decanter World Wine Awards and Sommelier Wine Awards, while the Chardonnay 2022 was awarded Silver at WineGB and Bronze at the Decanter World Wine Awards.

As the UK's largest single-estate organic vineyard, Oxney Organic Estate is certified organic by the Soil Association. Their winemaking philosophy embraces low intervention, using wild ferments and minimal fining, filtration, and SO2. Sustainability extends to their vineyard practices, which include under-vine tillage, natural sprays, and hand-harvesting, and in the winery, which generates biomass heat from its own coppiced woodland. The wines are made on-site in a converted Grade II listed oast house, where small batch winemaking is practiced.
