The Wine Return to contents
Velfrey Vineyard produces award-winning Welsh wines, specialising in traditional method sparkling wines and still wines. Key grape varieties include Seyval Blanc, Pinot Noir and Solaris. Their traditional method sparkling wines spend extended time on lees, developing richness alongside fresh citrussy notes. They also produce still white wines and rosé styles. One of their flagship wines, the Velfrey Non-Vintage Traditional Method Welsh Sparkling Wine, has won major awards including Best Sparkling White at national Welsh wine awards and inclusion among top UK wines. The vineyard practices careful, low-intervention viticulture suited to its Pembrokeshire terroir, with winemaking carried out by specialist collaborators in Wales.
