The Wine
Bride Valley Vineyard cultivates classic Champagne grape varieties – Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier – across its 10-hectare site, benefiting from chalky soils akin to those found in the Champagne region. The vineyard produces a refined range of sparkling and still wines. Their sparkling portfolio includes the highly acclaimed Brut Reserve, Blanc de Blancs, Rosé Bella, and the unique Dorset Crémant, which was the UK's first ever Crémant. Still wines include Dorset Chardonnay and Dorset Pinot Noir Rosé.
While the grapes are grown at Bride Valley, the vinification process takes place at the state-of-the-art Furleigh Estate winery nearby.
Bride Valley wines have garnered significant recognition. The Bride Valley Brut Reserve 2018 earned a Gold Medal at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) with an impressive 96 points. Their Dorset Crémant and Blanc de Blancs 2018 also received Silver Medals at the IWSC. The Blanc de Blancs 2018 notably won Gold at the WineGB Awards and an IEWA Gold Medal in 2022. The Rosé Bella 2018 and Chardonnay 2019 secured IEWA Silver Medals in 2022, with the Crémant 2018 and Pinot Noir Rosé 2019 earning IEWA Bronze Medals in the same year.
