What's the vibe?

Nine Oaks Vineyard offers a calm, small-scale vineyard experience in the Kent countryside, centred on quality winemaking rather than a busy visitor setup. Family-run and independent, it’s a place to spend time learning about the wines themselves, with visits designed to be personal and considered rather than casual drop-ins.

Nine Oaks Vineyard does not operate as a walk-in visitor attraction. All visits are by advance booking and are centred around guided experiences.



Tours & Tastings:

Guided vineyard tours and wine tastings are available by pre-booking during the main season. The standard experience includes a vineyard walk and a tasting of three estate wines, with a focus on how the wines are grown and made. Availability varies, so checking dates and booking ahead is essential.

Private visits can be arranged on request, subject to availability. Children may be permitted on private tours by prior arrangement.

Facilities:

The vineyard does not have a traditional cellar door, café, or restaurant. Visits are structured around the tour and tasting experience rather than informal drop-in drinking or dining.

Special Events:

Nine Oaks Vineyard occasionally hosts open-air theatre performances and takes part in food and drink festivals across Kent. These events are announced individually and are not part of a regular programme.

Nine Oaks Vineyard produces small-batch, estate-grown English still and sparkling wines. The current range includes a Pinot Noir rosé, Bacchus, and Chardonnay, alongside a limited-production Classic Cuvée sparkling wine.

The wines have received national recognition, including medals at the WineGB Awards and the Independent English Wine Awards. The Bacchus has been particularly well received in recent competitions.

The vineyard follows a bespoke and environmentally conscious approach to viticulture, working closely with a specialist agronomist. The emphasis is on careful vineyard management and low-volume production to prioritise quality over scale.

The vineyard is located in the village of Hothfield, just off the A20. Detailed directions are provided when booking a visit.

By public transport:

Ashford International is the nearest major train station, approximately a ten-minute drive away. Visitors arriving by train will need to arrange a taxi for the final leg of the journey.

The vineyard sits within easy reach of the wider Kent countryside, with a mix of nature, food, and historic sites nearby.
