Oaken Grove Vineyard

Tours & Tastings:

Guided vineyard tours and tastings operate seasonally and typically run up to twice daily on Fridays and Saturdays during the main visitor season. All tours and tastings must be booked in advance.

Wine Terrace:

During the summer months, the wine terrace and courtyard are open for relaxed tastings. Cheese and charcuterie platters are available, usually by reservation. While occasional walk-ins may be possible, booking ahead is recommended, particularly for tables with food.

Opening Hours:

Oaken Grove Vineyard operates on a seasonal basis and is not open year-round. Opening days and times vary depending on the time of year and events schedule. Visitors are advised to check the vineyard’s website before planning a visit.

Food & Drink:

There is no permanent restaurant on site. Cheese and charcuterie platters can be pre-ordered for tours or terrace visits, and the vineyard hosts occasional food pop-ups and pizza evenings.

Special Events:

The vineyard hosts a programme of public events throughout the season, including live music evenings and outdoor cinema screenings. The site is also available for private events, corporate hire and a limited number of weddings each year.

Accessibility:

The vineyard offers level access in key visitor areas and wheelchair-accessible facilities. Service dogs are permitted.

Oaken Grove Vineyard produces a small range of English still and sparkling wines. The seven-acre vineyard is planted primarily with Pinot Noir, Bacchus and Madeleine Angevine. In 2020, the vineyard released its first still red wine made from Pinot Noir.

The wines have received regional recognition, including awards at the Thames & Chiltern Vineyard Association Wine Challenge. In 2023, Oaken Grove received both a Gold award for sparkling wine and the Best Wine Overall trophy at the competition.

The vineyard follows a small-scale, hands-on approach to viticulture and winemaking, with an emphasis on sustainable farming and limited production. Wines are produced on site and sold directly via the cellar door.

Oaken Grove Vineyard is located on Benhams Lane, Fawley, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, RG9 6JG. It is around 10–15 minutes by car from Henley-on-Thames and Marlow. On-site parking is available.

By Public Transport

The nearest train stations are Henley-on-Thames and Marlow. Local bus services from Henley-on-Thames, Marlow, High Wycombe and Reading stop at the bottom of Benhams Lane, followed by an uphill walk of approximately 15 minutes. A taxi from Henley-on-Thames station is the most practical option.
