The Wine

Return to contents
Pattingham Vineyard cultivates a variety of grapes on its south-facing slopes, producing a delightful range of still and sparkling English wines, all of which are vegan. Their still wine collection includes the white Solaris (Nurton Brook), a rosé (Moor Meadow) blended from Siegerrebe, Solaris, and Pinot Noir Précoce, and red wines such as Divico (Rudge Heath) and Pinot Noir Précoce (Great Moor). For sparkling wine enthusiasts, they offer both white and rosé options, with their Sparkling White typically made from Seyval Blanc and Pinot Noir Précoce.

The vineyard's wines have garnered notable recognition, including a Gold Medal for their 2020 Sparkling White Wine at the London Wine Competition 2024, a Medal at the WineGB Awards 2024 for their 2022 Nurton Brook, and a Bronze Medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2024 for their 2022 Great Moor Pinot Noir Précoce. Their wines are also listed by Selfridges.

The vineyard is committed to sustainable practices, employing a low-impact and low-intervention approach. The land, which was previously grazed and never exposed to chemicals, allows for a naturally friendly environment for their vines. While wines were previously made by Halfpenny Green, Pattingham Vineyard now has its own winery, with the 2025 vintage set to be its first in-house release.
