Halfpenny Green Wine Estate offers a family-run countryside experience, combining serious winemaking with a welcoming atmosphere, including a restaurant and craft village. Many visitors appreciate the knowledgeable staff and the opportunity to taste a variety of wines.

Tours: Public guided tours run on selected dates and must be booked in advance, from £40 per person. Each tour includes a tasting of a selection of the estate's award-winning wines. Private group tours are also available, from £19.95 per person including a tour, tasting and cream tea. View tour dates and book online.

Wine Tastings: Standalone wine tasting experiences are available to book, from £25 per person. A cheeseboard can be ordered on arrival to complement the tasting. To book, contact the shop directly.

Restaurant & Tearoom: The restaurant serves breakfast, sandwiches, main meals and teacakes, scones and cakes. Traditional high tea - finger sandwiches, scones and cream cakes - is available to book daily. Booking is recommended. Find out more about the restaurant.

Private Hire: The Wine House function room accommodates up to 48 guests seated or 60 for a standing buffet, with a bar available. The restaurant is also available for evening hire, including sit-down meals, wine and cheese evenings and barbecues. Suitable for family celebrations, baby showers, christenings, wakes and corporate events. Minimum numbers and a room hire fee apply.

Farm Shop & Deli: The on-site wine shop, deli and farm shop is available alongside the vineyard.

Dogs & Children: Dogs are welcome on the estate grounds (not inside the restaurant). Children are welcome, with a dedicated children's menu served daily.

Craft Village: The estate is also home to a craft village featuring 16 bespoke and artisan businesses.

Events: The estate hosts a regular programme of events including in-store tastings, an annual cooperative wine scheme, grape picking and Christmas late-night shopping evenings. See the full events programme.

Halfpenny Green Wine Estate produces a wide range of still and sparkling English wines, crafted in their on-site winery built in 2005. The vineyard cultivates 30 acres of vines, growing a variety of grapes including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Bacchus, Dornfelder, and Seyval Blanc. They produce between 50,000 to 60,000 bottles annually under their own label and also perform contract winemaking and bottling for other UK vineyards.

The estate's wines have received numerous accolades. In 2024, Halfpenny Green Wine Estate had significant success at the WineGB Awards, winning 32 regional awards, including "Winemaker of the Year." Their English Rosé and Penny Red wines were category winners for the Midlands and North. In 2023, their Chardonnay 2019 received a silver medal at the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards, with their Classic Cuvée Brut sparkling wine earning a bronze medal in the same competition.

Halfpenny Green Wine Estate is a member of the Wines of Great Britain (WineGB) sustainability scheme, launched in 2020. This initiative aims to reduce carbon footprint, improve winery design and soil health, conserve the environment, promote biodiversity, and optimise canopy management and grape yield.
