Silverhand Estate is a large organic vineyard set in the rolling countryside of Kent, offering wide views across the vines and a strong focus on sustainability and land stewardship. The estate feels open and spacious, with a calm, rural atmosphere that suits unhurried visits and guided experiences in the vineyard.

General Access: Visitors can explore the estate via its cellar door wine bar and shop, where Silverhand wines and merchandise are available to purchase. Visits are centred around organised experiences rather than casual drop-ins, and access is primarily linked to bookings.

Tours & Tastings: Silverhand offers guided vineyard and winery tours, often hosted from vintage Land Rovers that travel through the vines. These experiences focus on organic viticulture, the estate’s wildlife-first approach, and winemaking, and usually include a tutored tasting. Tours and tastings must be booked in advance and run on selected dates.

On-site Cellar Door & Bar: The cellar door wine bar provides tastings and by-the-glass service, giving visitors the chance to sample both sparkling and still wines in a relaxed indoor setting. Bottles can be purchased to take home.

Special Events: The estate runs a programme of seasonal events and experiences throughout the year, including themed tours and special tastings. These vary by season and are offered on limited dates.

Dogs & Children: Well-behaved dogs are allowed in certain visitor areas such as the cellar door, though vineyard tours may have restrictions. Children may attend with supervising adults, but tours and tastings are primarily designed for adults.

Silverhand Estate produces a range of organic sparkling and still wines, with a particular emphasis on English sparkling wine. Key grape varieties include Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier, grown across what is one of the largest single organic vineyard sites in the UK.

The portfolio includes both Charmat method and traditional method sparkling wines, alongside organic still wines. All wines are suitable for vegetarians and vegans and reflect the estate’s organic farming practices and low-intervention approach.

Wines can be purchased online through the estate’s shop or tasted on-site during booked visits and experiences.

By Car: The estate is best accessed by car and offers on-site parking for visitors. It is easily reached from nearby towns including Gravesend and Meopham via local roads.

By Public Transport: Meopham, Sole Street, and Ebbsfleet International stations are the closest rail options, with a short taxi journey required to reach the vineyard.
