Cary Wine Estate offers a refined and intimate English wine experience, set amidst the beautiful rural landscape of Kent. It's a family-run operation focused on crafting high-quality, small-batch wines that truly express the terroir of their free-draining chalk soils.

Cary Wine Estate is primarily open for pre-booked experiences rather than casual drop-ins.

• Tours: Guided vineyard tours and tastings are available, lasting two hours and priced from £30 per person. The experience takes in a walk through the estate's five acres before finishing with a tasting of the full wine range. Tickets are purchased online and the date and time agreed directly with the estate afterwards.
• Regular Openings: The vineyard does not have regular public opening hours - visits are by prior arrangement only.
• Restaurant/Cafe: There is no restaurant or cafe on site.
• Accommodation: No on-site accommodation is available.
• Special Events: The estate is in the process of expanding its public programme and intends to open up further tours and tasting opportunities in due course. Check the website for updates.

Cary Wine Estate grows three classic varieties - Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier - across five acres of chalk soils in the Kent countryside. The site was previously old cherry orchard land, and the estate's wines still carry names that nod to that heritage: the Cherry Orchard Pinot Noir draws a clear line between past and present. Current releases span a still rosé, a Chardonnay and a Pinot Noir, with a traditional-method sparkling wine, the Cary Classic Cuvée, due for release in 2025 once it completes its bottle fermentation. The estate tends its vines with sustainability at the fore - wildflower meadows, minimal mowing and a focus on keeping its environmental footprint low. Winemaking is carried out by a local contract winemaker just a few miles away, so the grapes rarely travel far. Recognition has come quickly: the 2022 Old Rectory Chardonnay and 2022 Cherry Orchard Pinot Noir each won silver at the WineGB Awards, with the Pinot Noir picking up a further medal at the 2024 edition.
