What's the vibe

Tuffon Hall is a charming, family-owned vineyard in the heart of East Anglia, where generations of farming expertise meet passionate winemaking. It offers a romantic and scenic setting, centered around a beautifully renovated 16th-century threshing barn, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere for visitors.

Visiting information

Tours & Tastings: Vineyard tours and tastings require pre-booking. Regular tour dates are available throughout the year on weekends and some Thursday evenings, typically lasting around 1.5 hours. Private group bookings are also available for a minimum of 10 guests. You can sample three of their award-winning wines and one of their gins during the tour, which concludes in their 16th Century threshing barn. The Cellar Door is also open on the first Saturday of each month for self-guided tours, tastings, and shop visits.

On-site Dining: While there isn't a dedicated restaurant, private group tours can arrange for grazing platters to complement the wine tasting. Tuffon Hall also hosts special Supper Clubs with guest chefs throughout the year.

Special Events: The vineyard hosts various events including the annual "Jazz in the Vines" which is child-friendly, intimate pop-up Supper Clubs, and themed parties like "Club Alpine". Check their website for upcoming dates.

Accommodation: Tuffon Hall offers unique on-site accommodation options, including a beautiful 6-bedroom farmhouse sleeping up to 12 guests, perfect for family staycations. For a more intimate experience, there's also "The Poacher's Hut" and "The Grain Silo", both stylish glamping pods for two, featuring wood-fired hot tubs and glorious views of the vines.

The Wine

Tuffon Hall Vineyard produces a distinguished range of award-winning still and sparkling English wines, crafted on-site from grapes grown in their North Essex vineyards. Their portfolio includes crisp Bacchus, elegant Pinot Noir Rosé, and traditional method Sparkling White and Sparkling Rosé, made from the classic Champagne varietals of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. They also offer spirits such as grape gin, sloe gin, and toffee vodka.

The vineyard has garnered significant acclaim for its wines. Most recently, their Beatrice Pinot Noir Rosé 2022 was crowned the 'Best Still Rosé' in Great Britain at the prestigious WineGB Awards in July 2023, where it also received a Gold medal. The 2022 Bacchus also secured Gold at the Independent English Wine Awards earlier that year. Prior successes include a Gold prize for their Beatrice Pinot Rosé 2019 at the Wines of Great Britain Awards 2020, alongside a Silver for their Amelie Bacchus 2019.

Committed to responsible farming, Tuffon Hall practices complete organic production of its grapes, with each vine tended and picked by hand. This meticulous approach ensures high-quality, limited-release wines that reflect the unique terroir of East Anglia.
