The Wine

Dedham Vale Vineyard produces a diverse range of still and sparkling English wines from its 8 acres of vines, cultivated with 13 different grape varieties including Bacchus, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, and Orion. Their winemaking process culminates in six distinct styles, including still white, rosé, and red wines, as well as sparkling white and rosé options. Notably, their Brut Sparkling wine, made using the traditional method with Orion and Chardonnay grapes, has received accolades, including a Silver Medal at the Wine GB East 2022 Awards. The vineyard has also been chosen as the host venue for the prestigious Essex Wine Awards and the Suffolk Wine Awards, highlighting its significant standing in the regional wine industry. The vineyard operates its own winery on site, where many of their events are also held, providing a direct link between grape and glass.

By Car: Dedham Vale Vineyard is located north of Colchester, easily accessible from the A12. Ample on-site parking is available. Large vehicles, such as coaches, are advised to approach via the A134.

By Public Transport:
Nearest Train Station: Colchester North Station is approximately 5 miles away, with a taxi ride taking around 15-20 minutes. Manningtree Station, located about 20-25 minutes by taxi, is also a viable option with direct train services from London Liverpool Street.
