About Vinebound

How it began

I've been interested in wine since my early twenties, and have visited vineyards from Napa to Tasmania. But getting as far as the vineyard down the road took a little longer. It wasn't until May 2025 that I booked tickets for Setley Ridge in the New Forest and started wondering why I'd waited.

By the end of the week I was plotting vineyard weekends for the rest of the summer and pencilling in 2026 trips to Cornwall for sea views and sparkling, Kent for its cluster of top estates, and a tour of Wales somewhere in between.

From Planning to Vinebound

When I started organising visits, I found plenty of information online, but it was often out of date, incomplete, or hard to filter. Vineyard events were a particular challenge: brilliant things were happening, but there was no easy way to see what was on, when, and where. That's when the idea for Vinebound came together.

It's the tool I use to plan my own visits — I've made it to over 40 vineyards so far, with plenty more in the pipeline. I hope it helps you do the same.

In the meantime I've also achieved the WSET Level 3 in Wine, with Distinction.
