Denbies is the easiest choice for a family day out: the Vineyard Train Tour tends to go down well with younger children, and there are nature trails, pram-friendly paths, baby-changing facilities, a café and a garden centre on the estate. Albury runs dedicated family events through the season and welcomes children on the self-guided vineyard tour, with baby food permitted on site. High Clandon opens for events and open days rather than daily visits, but children get in free, and the wildflower meadows, wildlife pond and art exhibitions give families plenty to explore. Godstone has a relaxed, unfussy atmosphere — children are welcome on the vineyard trail and the outdoor terrace, and the format is low-key enough that it never feels like hard work. Tanhurst's café barn is the right kind of stop for families: outdoor seating, no pressure, and an easy base for a wander around the Surrey Hills.
