As the days grow shorter and the festive season approaches, vineyards across the country are bustling with exciting events, new releases, and special promotions. We've gathered the most important updates to help you plan your next vineyard visit or discover a new favourite wine.

Simpsons Wine EstateSimpsons Wine Estate invites you to Fizz Feast in Edinburgh on November 21st and 22nd. You can also find them at the Macknade Christmas Market in Faversham on November 28th and the Gibsons Christmas Market in Wingham on December 3rd. For those looking for a festive outing, a Wine Dinner is scheduled at The Finch's Arms, Rutland, on December 4th, along with a Lukehurst Christmas Event in Sittingbourne on the same day. Get creative at a Festive Table-scaping Masterclass with Gingerly Green Flower Farm on December 12th, priced at £65 per person.

Unleash your artistic side at a Pottery Workshop for Christmas Candlelit Cottages on November 15th (£60 per person). From November 7th, Afternoon Tea is available on Fridays and Saturdays, starting from £25 per person. The vineyard shop is open Monday to Saturday, 12pm-5pm, for takeaway wine, hampers, and vouchers, with wine by the glass and nibbles available on Fridays and Saturdays.
balfour-winery Winery
Celebrate the arrival of their balfour-winery Nouveau 2025 at an exclusive dinner on November 21st, from 7-11pm. Tickets are £55 per person and include half a bottle of the new release, a three-course dinner, and insights from the Head Winemaker.
Westwell Wine Estates
Kick off the festive season with a Tree Decorating + Tacos Night on Friday, November 28th, from 4-9pm. Enjoy Festive Tapas + Mulled Wine evenings on Friday, December 5th, and December 12th, from 4-9pm (pre-booking required for tapas). Winemaker Adrian will lead two Christmas Wine Tasting sessions on Saturday, December 6th, at 12pm or 3pm (£25 per person). A Christmas Paper Crafts Workshop is on Sunday, December 7th, from 12-2pm (£25). Don't miss the Westwell Evening Winter Market on Saturday, December 13th, from 4-7pm, featuring local producers and food. For those craving tacos, a Taco Christmas Lunch is set for Sunday, December 21st, from 12-3pm. Start 2026 with a relaxed Bacon Butties + Fizz event on January 1st, from 12-3pm.

artelium-wine-estate Wine EstateUpcoming events at artelium-wine-estate include "The Art of Collecting" talk on November 6th and a Christmas Card Workshop on November 27th. A Christmas Makers Market is scheduled for December 6th. You can also find artelium-wine-estate wines at Hartwell House for a Wine Dinner on November 7th and at Hotel Tresanton for a Wine Dinner with Chef Benjamin Palmer on November 14th. Their festive menu will be available throughout December and during the 'Betwixtmas' period.
Rathfinny Wine Estate
Festive Feasting is on offer at The Tasting Room from November 27th to December 21st, featuring a 10-plate set menu with new Saturday evening dates on November 29th, December 6th, 13th, and 20th. The Flint Barns Dining Room will also host festive dining from November 26th to December 20th, with 2 or 3-course Christmas classic menus. Additionally, Christmas Food & Wine Tastings are scheduled for Sundays from November 16th to December 21st.

Wiston EstateTheir annual Winter Tasting will feature the full wine portfolio, including the esteemed Library Collection, with a special 15% discount on all wine purchased at the event. Burnt House VineyardEnjoy live music with Becca Rose on Sunday, November 9th, from 1pm. A Pinot Noir Wine Tasting Evening & 2024 Vintage Launch with Bradley Dorrington is scheduled for Saturday, November 22nd, from 6-9pm (£45 per person). Feast Friday's continue with Smokebox Suffolk on November 7th and The Cabin Norfolk (tacos) on November 21st. The Modern Table will host a Roast Sunday on November 30th and Festive Sunday Roasts on December 14th and 21st. Their first Christmas Market will be held on Sunday, December 7th, from 12-4pm with free entry. Christmas Feast Evenings are scheduled for December 13th and 20th, and Fondue Nights are planned for Fridays, December 5th, 12th, and 19th. A Wedding Open Day will take place on Saturday, December 6th, from 12-4pm (free entry). Burnt House Vineyard will also be out and about at the Ely Christmas Gift & Food Fair (Nov 20th-22nd), Suffolk County Christmas Fair (Nov 21st-23rd), and The Stowmarket Christmas Fayre (Nov 30th).

Hattingley ValleyHattingley Valley will participate in the Vineyards of Hampshire Festive Fizz event on Saturday, November 29th, from 11am-5pm.
Hambledon Vineyard
Hambledon Vineyard is hosting a Winemakers' Lunch to open the Decanter Fine Wine Encounter on Friday, November 7th, at 1pm. The event features Head Winemaker Felix Gabillet and Editor Amy Wislocki, offering a tasting of special cuvées, including a library release, and tickets include grand tasting entry. A special Christmas Eve Lunch will be offered on December 24th, including a five-course meal, sparkling wine on arrival, and a complimentary homemade Christmas Pudding. Private dining rooms are available for bookings throughout December, and detailed festive opening hours are available from December 1st to January 1st.

Chilworth Manor VineyardA Festive Sing Along is planned for Thursday, December 11th, from 5:30-7:30pm, featuring guest music trio Porter, warming Glögg, and woodfired pizza. A Merry Tour & Tasting will take place on Friday, December 19th, from 4:00-6:00pm, including a tasting of three sparkling wines and their soon-to-be-released 2019 Classic Cuvée, paired with bites and Glögg.

HencoteNew Wine Tasting and Seasonal Canapés experiences are now available, offering a tour of the winery and vineyard views with five wines and paired canapés. Festive Party Nights are scheduled for November 28th and December 20th, at £55 per person. Pizza Night is available every Thursday from November 13th, from 5pm, with a Festive Pizza Party Night planned for Thursday, December 18th, including live music. Christmas Day Dinner is available to book with a £50 deposit per adult. Hencote will host a New Year’s Party with an ABBA tribute band on December 31st, starting at 6:30pm (£95 per person).

The 2019 Sparkling Rosé has been released. This Traditional Method sparkling wine underwent 5 years of lees ageing in the bottle and is available for £36 per bottle. For Christmas, a new Christmas Day Hamper is available, featuring their Grand Reserve Sparkling Rosé 2019, Chardonnay 2020, and Pinot Noir 2022.

The balfour-winery Nouveau 2025 has been released. This limited-edition vibrant young red, with only 2,000 bottles produced, is available for pre-order before its official release date of November 19th, marking its return after a five-year hiatus.

The Dell VineyardThe Dell Vineyard achieved its biggest harvest to date, yielding 14 tonnes of grapes, which is expected to produce approximately 12,000 bottles – a significant increase from last year’s 3,000 bottles. They have released new products, including their debut traditional-method sparkling, Pen Y Clawdd 2023 Sparkling Rosé, a Solaris Saison ale (a collaboration with local Welsh brewery Sobremesa), and a pre-order for their Pinot Noir Gin with Silver Circle Distillery. Additionally, Vineyard Honey from their resident bees is now available. The vineyard has recently garnered media attention, with features in BBC Radio Wales, BBC Wales News, The Telegraph, Decanter, and the Financial Times for various wines.

dunesforde-vineyarddunesforde-vineyard has released the Queen of the North Special Reserve 2019, their most luxurious sparkling wine to date. This Chardonnay and Pinot Noir blend was aged for 50 months on the lees, developing intense orchard fruit with nuanced notes of brown bread and pistachio. It is priced at £60 per bottle.
