Halloween falls on 31 October, and English vineyards mark it with pumpkin picking, spooky trails and themed dinners, most of them across half-term. This guide lists the events vineyards have announced so far, updated as new ones are confirmed, along with some from last year to show what to expect.

What Makes a Vineyard Good for Halloween Events
Halloween at a vineyard comes in two kinds. In the daytime it is a family half-term outing built around pumpkins and trails. After dark it is a themed dinner, with the vines as the setting.
In previous years, the family days have centred on pumpkins. Essex's Skylark at Prettyfields has paired a pumpkin patch, where you pick one to carve at home, with a spooky vineyard trail, trail games and a scavenger hunt. Devon's Darts Farm, home of Pebblebed Vineyards, has held a Pumpkin Fest with tens of thousands of homegrown pumpkins, magic shows and marshmallow toasting. Kent's Elham Valley Vineyard has run a Halloween trail through half-term.
After dark, the themed dinners have leaned on atmosphere. West Sussex's Leonardslee has hosted a 1920s murder mystery three-course dinner at Halloween. North Yorkshire's Carlton Towers has held a gothic Halloween ball with dinner, dancing and a best-dressed prize, alongside a children's disco. Cornwall's Polgoon has run Vines & Souls, a night of torchlit vineyard strolls with mulled wine or cider and soup.
Halloween falls on 31 October, and most of these events have fallen in or near the late October half-term, with the busiest family days at weekends.
