Confirmed live: Summer in the Vines runs every Saturday through the summer season (until 26 Sept in the 2026 run), free to book. Regular weekly slot, not scarce. The Terrace restaurant/cafe also operates on a separate bookable basis.

Opening hours can change for private events - it's always worth checking the vineyard's website before you visit.

What's the vibe?

Godstone Vineyard offers a relaxed, family-run atmosphere. There's a charm in how un-slick things are at Godstone; at the cellar door you can see evidence of the vineyards 1980's history.

Tours & Tastings: Guided tours of the vineyard are available on open days, when you can join a conducted walk through the vines before settling in on the terrace with a glass of wine and a platter of local cheeses and charcuterie. Booking is free of charge and recommended so the team can plan ahead.

Food & Drink: The Terrace at Godstone Vineyards serves light lunches, cheese and charcuterie platters, and afternoon tea alongside the estate's wines.

Cellar Door & Shop: The on-site shop is open during open days for wine purchases. As the wines are only available to buy directly from Godstone, it is worth picking up a few bottles while you are there.

Dogs & Children: Well-behaved dogs are welcome on open days provided they are kept on a lead and not brought inside the shop. Children are equally welcome to come along and explore.

Accessibility & Parking: The site is wheelchair accessible and has plentiful free on-site parking.

Getting here by bus: From Caterham Railway Station, take Metrobus 400 and ask the driver for the Quarry Road request stop at the foot of Godstone Hill - the vineyard entrance is roughly a five-minute walk from there. The nearest rail stations are Caterham, Woldingham, and Oxted (all around 2 miles away) and Godstone / South Godstone (around 3 miles).

Godstone Vineyard cultivates Seyval Blanc and Bacchus to produce a range of English wines, including vibrant sparkling white and rosé wines in the traditioal method, alongside crisp still white, elegant still rosé, and approachable still red wines.

Their sparkling white, sparkling rosé, and still rosé wines all secured a Bronze award at the Independent English Wine Awards 2023, while their still white and Still Red wines were recognised with Bronze awards at the WineGB Awards 2023.

Plumpton College produces the wine, where the next generation of winemakers study in the UK.

By Public Transport: The nearest train stations are Oxted and Caterham. A taxi ride from either station to the vineyard typically takes around 10 minutes.
