Easter Events at England's Vineyards
Easter Sunday falls on 28 March 2027, and English vineyards mark the long weekend with egg trails, Sunday roasts, tours and tastings. No 2027 dates have been confirmed yet, so this guide shows events from last year to give a sense of what to expect, and will update as new ones are announced.

What Makes a Vineyard Good for Easter Events
Easter at a vineyard is a four-day weekend, from Good Friday to Easter Monday, and the programmes tend to split two ways. Families get egg trails in the vines. Everyone else gets a long lunch, a tour or a glass in the spring sun.
In previous years, for families, Somerset's Wraxall Vineyard has paired an Easter trail around the vines, with an Easter egg reward, with a Sunday BBQ of sausages, burgers and slow-cooked meat. In Kent, Biddenden Vineyards has run a Bunny Hunt through the estate, with apple juice and a chocolate treat for children and a bottle of wine for the adults. Surrey's Albury Organic Vineyard has hosted a family-friendly Easter trail, with award-winning English sparkling wine for the grown-ups, and Denbies Wine Estate has offered an Easter Bunny train ride around the vineyard.
For Sunday lunch, West Sussex's Leonardslee has served a three-course Easter roast at the wine estate, followed by an egg hunt for children. Shropshire's Hencote has served an Easter Sunday roast overlooking the vineyard, by advance booking, and East Sussex's Artelium has paired a classic Sunday roast with its English wine. Denbies has served Easter lunch in the Gallery Restaurant, on the third floor of the winery with views over the Surrey Hills.
Some vineyards have made a weekend of it. Devon's Alder Vineyard has spread a spring celebration over four days, with roasts, tours and live music, and an all-day brunch on Easter Monday. Dorset's Furleigh Estate has run Easter Saturday tours and tastings, and Essex's Mersea Island Vineyard has held an Easter beer festival of local real ales, ciders and wines.
