English Wine Week 2026 ran from 20 to 28 June. While the 2027 dates are yet to be announced, it is likely to run from 19 to 27 June. This guide collects what vineyards put on across the nine days, from supper clubs and tutored tastings to regional wine festivals, and shows what to look out for when next year's events are announced. What Is English Wine Week?

English Wine Week is the annual celebration of English wine, run each June by WineGB, the trade body for English and Welsh wine. It has been running since 2006. Vineyards open up for tours, tastings, dinners and picnics in the vines, and restaurants, wine merchants and bars put English bottles front and centre.

The aim is to get more people tasting English wine and visiting the vineyards that make it. If you already know a few estates, it is a reason to try a new one. If you have never been, it gives you a date to aim for.

When Is English Wine Week?

The week runs for nine days, Saturday to Sunday, taking in the last two weekends of June. In 2025 it ran from 21 to 29 June, and in 2026 from 20 to 28 June.

WineGB has not yet confirmed the 2027 dates. If the pattern holds, we expect it to run from Saturday 19 to Sunday 27 June 2027. Sign up to our newsletter and we'll let you know as soon as the dates and events are announced.

What Vineyards Put On During English Wine Week

Many vineyards mark the week with a dinner or supper club. In West Sussex, Bolney Wine Estate has hosted a six-course chef's tasting menu, and in Kent Simpsons Wine Estate and Mereworth Wines have each run a supper club. Rathfinny in East Sussex and Albury Organic Vineyard in Surrey have paired their wines with dinners too, the latter at a restaurant in Guildford.

For something outdoors, tours and tastings in the vines are the classic format. Gusbourne in Kent has led a guided walk tasting four sparkling wines, finishing with a platter of local cheese and charcuterie, while Henners in East Sussex has put on a free vineyard tour. Balfour in Kent has held a one-hour tutored tasting of six English wines, and Bolney has run a blending masterclass where guests make their own Chardonnay and Pinot Gris blend.

Some vineyards build the whole week into their menu. Hambledon in Hampshire has served a four-course tasting menu paired with its sparkling wines at lunch and dinner, and Digby in West Sussex has poured rare and cellar-held wines by the glass at its Arundel tasting room.

Regional festivals bring several estates together. The Vineyards of Hampshire Fizz Fest has gathered Hampshire's vineyards for tastings, masterclasses and street food, Yorkshire Heart has held the Great Yorkshire Wine & Fizz Festival among its vines, and Chilworth Manor in Surrey has run a wine festival with live music, a children's trail and a silent disco.

English Wine Week also reaches beyond the vineyard gate. Langham in Dorset has poured more than 30 English wines at Fortnum & Mason in London, and Roebuck Estates in West Sussex has paired its wines with a dinner at Rotunda in London.

How to Make the Most of English Wine Week

The programme is spread across all nine days, so there is no need to plan around the weekends. Plenty of the dinners and tastings have run on weekdays, which suits anyone who would rather skip the Saturday crowds.

Kent, West Sussex, Surrey and East Sussex have had the most events, so if you live in the south you have plenty of choice, and a regional festival is an easy way to meet several producers in one afternoon. The county links at the top of the page take you straight to your own area.

Book early for anything with a set menu or a limited number of places, and look at our guides to vineyards with restaurants and vineyards with accommodation if you want to turn an evening event into a night away.
