Tamar Valley Vineyard offers a tranquil escape with outstanding views across the River Tamar, bordering Devon and Cornwall. Visitors consistently praise the engaging and informative tours provided by the family-run team, highlighting the rich history of the area, including a silver mine beneath the vineyard, and the passion behind their winemaking. It provides a remote and secret feel, perfect for those seeking peace and natural beauty.

Tamar Valley Vineyard, a family-run enterprise established on the Devon slopes of the River Tamar, began planting grapes in 2016, with their first harvest in 2019. They produce a range of English wines, including a sparkling white, "Ag Brut," made from the Madeleine Angevine grape, and a still rosé called "Royal Sovereign Rosé," crafted from Rondo grapes. Their on-site winery became operational in 2021.

The vineyard's sparkling wine, "Ag," received a bronze award at the Independent English Wine Awards in 2024. This particular sparkling wine is noted for being one of the few in the world made with Madeleine Angevine, offering a crisp, floral, and elegant profile that appeals to those who prefer less acidic sparkling wines.

The vineyard is located within the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and is committed to conserving and enhancing the natural and historic landscape, as well as protecting the unique biodiversity and heritage of the area.

By Car: The vineyard is located at Hole's Hole, Bere Alston, Yelverton, PL20 7BW. Directions can be followed using a Google pin.

By Public Transport: The nearest train stations are Bere Ferrers (1.9 miles away) and Bere Alston (2.4 miles away). Both stations are on the scenic Tamar Valley Line, which connects to Plymouth. Bere Alston village is approximately a 10-minute uphill walk from its station. Taxis would be required from the stations to reach the vineyard directly.
