What's the vibe?

Knightor Winery offers a rustic and relaxed experience, set around a working winery, historic granite barns, and four acres of orchards and wildflower meadows. It feels informal and welcoming, equally suited to a casual glass of wine, a planned visit, or larger celebrations such as weddings and private events.

Tours and tastings: Guided winery tours last approximately 90 minutes and are led by a winemaker, from £22 per person. Self-guided tastings are available from £11 per person, and guided tastings from £16 per person. Cornish cheese plates can be added to any tasting booking. Booking is required - see the tours page for available dates. Feast nights and dining: The Winery Kitchen hosts a rolling programme of feast events in the barn throughout the year, drawing on Cornish produce and seasonal ingredients. Booking is essential; check the events calendar for upcoming dates. Accommodation: The estate sleeps more than 20 guests across three shepherd's huts (each for two), the Orchard Barn (open-plan, for two) and the 18th-century Manor House (six bedrooms, up to 12 guests, with kitchen and lounge). Dogs and children are welcome across all accommodation. Online shop: Wine, vermouth and gift vouchers are available to order at any time through the winery's online shop.

Knightor Winery produces a range of English still and sparkling wines, alongside their distinctive Cornish vermouths. The wine range includes white, rosé, red, and traditional-method sparkling wines, made from varieties such as Seyval Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Madeleine Angevine, Riesling, Rondo, and Bacchus.

The wines have received notable recognition. Knightor’s 2015 Blanc de Blancs was named “World’s Finest” at the 2024 Glass of Bubbly Champagne & Sparkling Wine Awards. Further accolades from the same awards include gold medals for the Vintage Cuvée 2014 and Classic Cuvée Rosé, and a silver for the Classic White Cuvée. Their dessert wine, Mena Hweg, was also awarded Critics’ Choice at the Sommelier Wine Awards.

Knightor operates as a working winery, producing limited-run wines using grapes from their own vineyards in Portscatho and Seaton, as well as selected English growers. While sustainability is part of their approach, the winery is not certified organic.
