What's the vibe?

High Weald Wine is a vineyard-led estate focused on wine production, with seasonal opportunities for visitors to explore the site through guided experiences. The setting is rural and elevated, with long views across the surrounding High Weald landscape, and visits are structured around learning about the vineyard and the wines rather than casual drop-ins.

High Weald Wine offers vineyard tours and tastings on a seasonal basis. All visits must be booked in advance, and availability varies by year.

Tours & tastings:

Guided vineyard tours and tastings are offered during the visitor season, with dates released by the estate. Tours run for around 90 minutes and include time in the vineyard and winery, followed by a tasting of High Weald wines accompanied by a charcuterie board. Tickets are priced from £44 per person. Booking is required via the vineyard's website - 2026 tour bookings are now open. Book your experience.

Cellar door & garden bar:

During the visitor season, High Weald Wine operates a garden bar and cellar door shop where wines can be enjoyed on site and purchased to take home, including cellar-door exclusives. Free, secure on-site parking is available.

Private hire:

The vineyard is available for exclusive private hire, with use of the vineyard spaces and views across the estate. Corporate events are also catered for. Contact the estate directly for availability and details.

Accommodation:

There is no accommodation on site.

High Weald Wine produces English sparkling and still wines from fruit grown in its own vineyards. The vineyard is planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, forming the basis of its traditional-method sparkling wines, alongside a small range of still wines.

Highweald farms three vineyards: Highweald and Lake Street in Sussex, and Alder Ridge on the free-draining chalk of the North Wessex Downs in Berkshire. Alder Ridge adds Pinot Précoce to the Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grown in Sussex, and its chalk fruit goes into the estate’s sparkling wines. Only the Highweald site is open to visitors.

The estate’s first vintage received significant recognition at the International Wine Challenge, including awards for Best Wine in First Year of Production and English Sparkling Wine. High Weald Wine is a member of Sustainable Wines of Great Britain.

All wines are made on site, with a focus on expressing the character of the vineyard and the High Weald landscape.
