Confirmed first-party (urban-winery page): 'It is also a Vagabond bar, open seven days a week for a glass of wine...' and the group booking page says 'Walk-ins are always welcome too.' Exact day-by-day hours still sourced from third-party roundup coverage (not directly confirmed on a Vagabond page), so times below are provisional. Winery Tour & Tasting (£29pp) is a separate bookable-in-advance experience; self-pour/enomatic wine-by-the-glass and the bar itself are walk-in during opening hours.
Opening hours can change for private events - it's always worth checking the vineyard's website before you visit.
What's the vibe?
Vagabond's Canada Water site is a genuine working winery built into a 6,000 square foot space across two floors, not just a wine bar with a winery theme. A 100-tonne cellar sits behind glass as staff and guests move between the production area, a bar serving over 100 wines by the glass from self-serve enomatic machines, and a restaurant. It is the newest and by far the largest of London's urban wineries, having opened in December 2025.
Visiting Vagabond Urban Winery, Canada Water
Opening hours: Monday to Wednesday 4pm-11pm, Thursday to Saturday 12pm-11pm. Sunday hours were not confirmed directly with the winery at time of writing, so it is worth checking before a Sunday visit.
Winery Tour and Tasting: A roughly 60-minute guided tour costs £29 per person, tasting wine straight from tank or barrel alongside finished wines. Booking ahead is recommended.
Walk-in tasting: Outside of the guided tour, the self-serve enomatic wall lets you pour your own tasting measures or full glasses without booking.
Wine education: The Vagabond Academy runs WSET Level 1 courses and other wine education sessions on site.

The Wine at Vagabond Urban Winery, Canada Water
The winery makes its own range from UK-grown grapes sourced from Oxfordshire, Sussex, Kent, Suffolk and Essex, under winemaker Jose, who grew up on a farm in Sussex and holds a viticulture degree and WSET diploma. Two of the wines - an English Bacchus and an English Rose - are bottled and sold to take home, both around £25. A 2024 Chardonnay was also bottled but is currently out of stock.
Several more experimental styles are made for tasting on site rather than bottled for sale: Ortega, a co-fermented red called Night Tripper, and two orange wines - Dios Mio, a skin-contact Bacchus, and Solena, a multi-vintage wine aged in solera under flor.
Beyond its own wines, the venue's enomatic wall pours more than 100 other wines by the glass.
Getting to Vagabond Urban Winery, Canada Water

What's nearby
Canada Water sits among more than 130 acres of parks and former docks. Russia Dock Woodland and Stave Hill Ecology Park are both a short walk away, as is Surrey Docks Farm, a free city farm on the Thames Path. Canada Water's library and theatre - a striking inverted pyramid over Canada Dock - and the Corner Corner food hall are both close by too.
For the extra curious
Vagabond is better known as a wine bar and merchant with sites across London, but Canada Water is the first time the company has built and run its own winery rather than just selling other producers' wine. It joins Blackbook, Renegade and London Cru as London's fourth urban winery.
