Heron Farm welcomes visitors to its scenic estate near Honiton, offering a diverse range of experiences.

Opening Hours: The estate is open Friday to Monday, 9am–4pm, including Bank Holidays. It is closed Tuesday to Thursday.

Vineyard Kitchen: The on-site restaurant serves seasonal British food made with produce grown on the estate or sourced across Devon - from sharing boards and wood-fired BBQ to a full sit-down meal. Afternoon tea is bookable daily between 12pm and 4pm. Open Friday to Monday, 9am–4pm. Advance booking of 48 hours is essential. View the menu.

Vineyard Tours: Farm and vineyard tours run every Saturday at 12pm and include a tasting. Private tours can also be arranged for groups. Pre-booking is required. Book a tour.

Accommodation: Heron House is a self-catering property sleeping 10–12 guests, with its own private vineyard, wood-fired hot tub and wine cellar meeting room - well suited to group breaks, celebrations or corporate retreats. Find out more.

Private Hire: The full 17-acre estate - including the walled garden, orchards and vineyard - is available for exclusive hire. The venue can accommodate 100+ guests for events such as weddings, birthdays, corporate away days, stag and hen parties and Christmas gatherings. A private mezzanine is available for groups of 20–40. Heron House can also be included for residential events.

Shop: A farm shop and online shop offer Heron Farm wines and related products.

Dogs and Children: Dogs are welcome on the estate - Heron Farm won the Devon Tourism Awards Dog-Friendly Business of the Year in 2022. Children are always welcome, with a fenced playpark, fairy garden and animals on the farm.

Heron Farm produces a diverse range of English wines, including refreshing still white, rosé, and red wines, alongside their acclaimed sparkling wine. Their first sparkling wine was released in 2021, with their still wines following in 2022.

The quality of Heron Farm's wines has quickly gained recognition. Their Heron Farm Rosé 2022 and Heron Farm Sparkling NV both secured Silver medals at the prestigious Wine GB Awards 2023. Additionally, their Heron Farm Bacchus 2022 earned a Bronze medal in the same competition, underscoring their commitment to producing exceptional English wines.

Committed to environmental stewardship, Heron Farm practices sustainable viticulture with a strong emphasis on organic methods where possible and a low-intervention approach. They actively work to enhance biodiversity within the vineyard and minimise the use of chemicals, reflecting their dedication to responsible farming.

All wines are crafted on-site in their own modern winery, ensuring complete control over the winemaking process from grape to bottle.

By Car: Heron Farm is located near Honiton, Devon, with ample on-site parking. Use the postcode EX14 3NZ for navigation.

By Public Transport: The nearest train station is Honiton (HON). From Honiton station, Heron Farm is approximately a 5-7 minute taxi ride or a scenic 40-50 minute walk (approx. 3.5 km). A taxi is recommended for convenience.
