Opening Hours
This vineyard is open by appointment only. Contact them directly to arrange a visit.
No walk-in access - the railway arch is a working production space, not a shop or bar. Visits happen through a Winery Tour and Tasting (£25pp, ~1 hour, standing tasting in an unheated space) booked via a calendar on the website - exact frequency of dates was not confirmed. Private tours and tastings for small groups can also be arranged by emailing the winery directly.
Opening hours can change for private events - it's always worth checking the vineyard's website before you visit.
What's the vibe?
Midland Press occupies a railway arch in Digbeth, Birmingham's creative quarter, a short walk from the Custard Factory. There is no vineyard here - the wine is made from grapes trucked in from sites across the Midlands and vinified in a cold, unheated production space. Visits are standing tastings around the winemaking itself rather than a bar or shop experience, so it is worth wrapping up warm.
Visiting Midland Press
Winery tours: A Winery Tour and Tasting runs for about an hour, standing, at £25 per person. Dates are released via a booking calendar on the website rather than fixed weekly hours.
Private tours: Small groups can arrange a private tour and tasting by emailing the winery directly.
There is no walk-in access outside a booked tour - this is a working production space rather than a shop or bar.

The Wine at Midland Press
Midland Press focuses on light, chillable reds and textured, lees-driven whites, made from grapes sourced from growers across the Midlands. The Outer City Limits range runs to a rosé, a light chilled red and an aromatic orange wine, alongside Silent Crowd, a fragrant red, and a barrel-fermented Pinot Blanc. Verse 24 is a col fondo-style sparkling wine, bottled with the lees still in and left to finish fermenting naturally.
Getting to Midland Press

What's nearby
Shaw's Passage runs through the back streets of Digbeth, close to the Custard Factory - Birmingham's creative quarter of galleries, independent shops, street food and the Mockingbird Cinema.
For the extra curious
Midland Press was founded in 2024 by Richard Stenton, part of a small but growing scene of English urban wineries making wine away from where the grapes are grown. It is the first of its kind Vinebound has listed outside London, alongside Blackbook, Renegade, Vagabond's Canada Water site and London Cru.
