Vineyard Café is open to walk-ins (booking recommended but not required) Wednesday–Sunday, closed Monday & Tuesday except Bank Holiday Mondays (9:30am–4pm). The vineyard grounds are visible/accessible from the café during these hours. Separate guided Tour & Tastings (public and private) can be booked in advance.

What's the vibe?

Wolds Wine Estate offers a peaceful and luxurious rural escape in the heart of the Nottinghamshire Wolds. Set among gently rolling countryside, the estate is best known for its beautifully finished glamping pods overlooking the vines, creating a calm, secluded retreat that’s ideal for unwinding, evening sunsets, and stargazing thanks to very low light pollution. Guests regularly highlight the quiet atmosphere, immaculate setting, and sense of space.

Tours & Tastings:

Guided estate tours run Saturdays at 11am and 2pm from May to October, covering the vineyard and orchard. Each tour lasts roughly 1.5 to 2 hours and includes six tasters - a combination of the estate's own wines, cider and co-ferments. The 11am tour is priced from £25 per person and the 2pm tour from £30 per person. Pre-booking is essential; walk-ups may be turned away if the tour is full. After the 2pm tour, the Saturday Social takes place in the Vineyard Café from 4pm to 5.30pm, with drinks, platters and snacks available.

The Vineyard Café serves breakfasts, small plates, proper sandwiches, traditional lunches, Sunday roasts and afternoon teas. It is open Wednesday to Sunday from 9.30am to 4pm (closed Monday and Tuesday, except Bank Holiday Mondays when it opens 9.30am to 4pm). Saturday hours extend to 5.30pm from 2nd May. The estate is popular for hen parties, celebratory weekends, and larger family gatherings. Dedicated social spaces such as the "Hen House" and the "BarN" are available, and group activities including wine tastings, cocktail making, yoga sessions, and craft workshops can be arranged. The indoor dining space is also available to hire for weddings, birthday parties, baby showers, funerals and wakes. Bespoke corporate away-day packages are available, ranging from 1.5 hours to a full day and including working space in a rustic barn, a vineyard tour and tasting, food and games. Accommodation:

Four high-spec glamping pods are available, each fully self-contained with private bedrooms, a living area, kitchen facilities with oven and hobs, a bathroom with shower, wall-mounted TV, WiFi and radiators. Each pod has a private raised sun deck with outdoor furniture and a fire pit BBQ. The pods overlook the vineyard and are suitable for couples, families, and small groups. View glamping pods. The estate has an on-site shop stocking its own small-batch wines alongside local artisan produce, handmade gifts, hampers and seasonal treats. Wines and other products are also available via the online shop. Children:

Children are welcome across the estate, with kids' meals available in the café at all times and open field space around the glamping pods. Board games and outdoor games are provided in the pods. Under-18s are not permitted on vineyard tours due to alcohol service. Dogs:

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating areas and inside the Vineyard Café, but are not permitted on vineyard tours or in the glamping pods.

Wolds Wine Estate has approximately 4,000 vines planted across around 3.3 acres. Grape varieties include Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier for sparkling wines, alongside Rondo for red wines and Solaris for whites. All wines are produced on site using a low-intervention, natural approach, with wild fermentation, 100% juice, and minimal additions to reflect the local landscape. The estate’s first wines were released in 2024 and include a still pink wine, Chardonnay, a lightly sparkling red, an orange wine, and a Solaris-based white. Alongside wine, the estate also produces cider, which has received awards at the British Cider Championships. Sustainability is central to the estate’s operation. The vineyard maintains beehives for honey production and uses sheep and pigs for natural grass control and soil enrichment. A traditional orchard planted in 2022 is managed without pesticides, with apples picked by hand for cider production. All winemaking is carried out on site in the estate’s own winery.

The Trent Barton Keyworth bus serves the area, with a stop around a 13-minute walk from the estate. NottsBus On Demand can also drop visitors directly at the site from within Rushcliffe. Nottingham and Loughborough are the nearest mainline train stations, both approximately 20–25 minutes away by taxi.
