Harvest 2026: How to Get Involved at England's Vineyards
21 Sep 2026 · By Stephen Pritchard in News & Events
Some English vineyards need help with Harvest 2026 and are looking for paid or volunteer pickers. Others are opening up ticketed tours, tastings and celebrations built around the season instead. This year's harvest is running early after a long, dry summer, so some of the dates below are days away rather than weeks. Below is every way to get involved this September and October, sorted by type, with dates, prices and sold-out status re-checked directly against each vineyard's own site as of 21 September 2026. Vineyards update fast at this time of year, so check the link before you make plans.

Volunteer for a day in the vines
Picking grapes for a morning gets you closer to a vineyard than any tour does: mud on your boots, a bucket in hand, and the vineyard manager working the same row as you. No wine knowledge is needed, and most of these days end with lunch and a bottle to take home.

In return you get full training, refreshments all day, a harvest lunch served with their wines, and 10% off wine and events through 2026 and 2027. This day isn't listed on their website, so places may already be full: email to check before you make plans. [email protected] · Nine Oaks on Vinebound.
